i was feeling bugged in my hols so i decided to buy an mp3 player. After a month of research in the net i found that transcend was the best u could get for my budget. i searched many forums for opinions on mp3 players thinkdigit was one of them so i think i owe u guys a review. but i couldnt find detailed reiew anywhere on the net so here i am writing for those who r interested.
two of the good models of transcend are tsonic 610 and tsonic 520. i decided to opt fot 520 model as it runs on a single aaa batt and no mess of switching on the comp for charging the player.
so i went i search of 520.i live in bangalore. i searched the whole of national market and sp road but found only one shop that sold this model. i brought the 1 gb player 3 weeks ago for 3200/- with bill and 2 yr warrenty.
1 gb player comes grey in color and looks sexy. to begin with i found the player thicker than expected especially after i had seen 610 model. the player comes bundled along with a mini usb connector,earphones, earbuds, one aaa battery, linein wire, a neck strap, manual. the earphones are of an odd design but provide clear and crisp sound.the oled display was one the things i liked the most about the player,it bright and visible in anylight or no light. the player has 4 buttons,a lock switch ,and a jogwheel, it also has a line in socket or record from externel source. it also has mic and a jack for mini usb. thats about the looks.
the player comes with tonns of functions such as voice rec, line in rec, fm with 20 presents,fm recording ,6 equilizer setting with user eq ,support for mp3, wav and wma files and many more. to play songs u just hav to copy audiofiles to the player. it dosent hav playlist support so it playes it according to the seq u hav copied. sound clarity is very good. fm reception is average ,i recieve 4 stations, and found problems in reception on movement. recording can be 3 different quality settings 8,16 and 32 khz and is vety good for voice rec, for fm recording the quality will be slightly less than the original at 32khz. the player has the feature to browse for songs which makes the easy to use esecially with 1gb capacity. the player can also be used as a thumb drive. thumb drive function works with out a battery. the battery life of the player is also very good.
so for those of u who dont want to spend much but want to get a player with all features and good quality, i suggest tou go for this.
